Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Certified Medical Coder and Biller to join our esteemed team in a fully remote capacity. This role is pivotal in ensuring the precision and completeness of patient claims and medical documentation, ultimately enhancing the efficacy of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

Review and verify patient claims for precision, ensuring all requisite information is present.
Assign appropriate medical codes and ensure correct sequencing in compliance with governmental and insurance regulations.
Uphold adherence to established medical coding standards and policies.
Verify and assess patient charts and medical documents for accuracy.
Collaborate with team members to clarify ambiguous information and resolve discrepancies.
Gather data from healthcare providers to compile monthly reports.
Develop and implement strategic procedures to ensure accurate coding and billing outcomes.
Investigate potential medical malpractice by analyzing diagnoses, medical procedures, and associated events.

Required Skills

Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, CPT, Category II, and/or E/M coding.
Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, such as eCW and EPIC.

Qualifications
