The hiring range for this remote position is (98,564.00 to )152,020.00 per year, factoring in various geographic regions. The base pay will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may also be provided.

Skills

Minimum five years of related technical and/or operational planning experience.
Knowledge of organization, procurement, financial, and logistics planning related to show creation.
Working knowledge of differing production models and signal flow.

Proficient in common computer-based software programs for data compilation and presentations.

Responsibilities

Oversee all operational and technical aspects of assigned remote events.
Provide guidance and training to Remote Operations staff.
Ensure compliance with ESPN Workplace Conduct and Safety Policies.
Create and build event-specific paperwork, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Facilitate troubleshooting of technical, operational, and personnel issues on-site.
Approve time-entry, travel, and overtime for crew members.
Address performance issues while on-site with crew as necessary.
Attend industry events as assigned.
Assist in the development and implementation of new technologies for events.

Qualifications

Minimum five years of experience in technical and/or operational planning.
Ability to travel regularly to remote events, including international locations.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays according to sports schedules.
Established relationships within the broadcast industry preferred.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma required.

Education Requirements Credential Category

Bachelor’s Degree or Technical School degree in communications, broadcasting, or a related field preferred.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of five years of related experience in on-site management and procurement.
Strong knowledge and application of broadcast standards and technologies.
