About the Role:
As an Inside Sales Representative, you’ll engage in meaningful conversations with prospective students and families who are eager to explore our high-quality, personalized learning products and services. Using a consultative approach, you’ll dive deep to understand each student’s unique needs, recommend the perfect solutions, and guide them to success by securing sales and payments via a comprehensive Learning Membership.
Varsity Tutors
Varsity Tutors, is one of the nation’s largest platforms for live online tutoring and classes. Its solutions are available directly to students and consumers, as well as through schools and other institutions
Pay: $18/hr to start with the opportunity to be promoted to a full-time position based on performance, which offers:
• $40,000 base salary
• $12,000 variable compensation target (plus unlimited bonus potential)
• Full-time positions also include a comprehensive benefits package (health insurance, 401k matching plan, PTO, and free access to tutoring and our online educational resources).
Location: Fully Remote (Work from anywhere in the U.S.)

Upcoming Start Dates/Trainings: Our paid virtual training program will take place over the course of five weeks, Monday – Friday, 9am-6pm CDT.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
• Previous inside sales experience is a plus, but your enthusiasm and drive are what matter most
• Strong communication skills and a passion for helping others
• A consultative sales approach with a knack for identifying needs and recommending solutions.
• Self-motivation and the ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, remote environment
• High empathy and emotional intelligence, with the ability to understand families’ educational needs and make product/service recommendations
• Comfortable asking for sale and payment for mutually agreed on solution
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt quickly in a high phone volume environment
• Ability to work 35-40 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends
• Understand and appreciate that Nerdy is an apolitical company and that we can have the largest impact if we are united in our focus on helping people learn and not divided or distracted by advancing unrelated causes
Responsibilities:
• Connect with prospective students and families who have shown interest in Nerdy’s learning products and services via inbound calls and outbound call-backs
• Use a consultative sales approach to understand learners’ needs and recommend tailored solutions
• Facilitate the sales process, including securing payment and closing the deal
• Meet and exceed monthly sales metrics and performance targets
• Attend paid live training facilitated remotely via Zoom and pre-recorded modules
• Work some evenings and weekends after the completion of our training program
