Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join our legal team. As an Insurance Defense Attorney, you will be responsible for representing our clients in insurance defense litigation cases.

 

Responsibilities

Conducting depositions of witnesses and other parties involved in the case
Drafting motions and pleadings to be filed with the court
Preparing for hearings and trials by researching and analyzing case law and evidence
Representing clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials
Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients
Collaborating with other legal professionals, including paralegals and support staff, to ensure the best outcome for clients
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigation
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice law in NY
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
Proficiency in legal research and writing
Familiarity with legal software and databases
