Source and identify direct investment opportunities within seed to Series A/B stages, focusing on climate and sustainability sectors (energy, built environment, agritech, mobility and logistics).
Lead the entire investment process including deal evaluation, structuring, negotiations, and closing.
Provide strategic counsel to founders or management teams of portfolio companies in South Asia and across relevant emerging markets. This includes guidance on market entry strategies, navigating regulatory landscapes and scaling operations sustainably.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of portfolio companies, incorporating financial metrics, operational milestones, and market positioning. Use these insights to make informed decisions on reinvestment, additional support, or strategic exits, ensuring alignment with the fund’s overall investment objectives and maximizing long-term returns.
Effectively communicate the fund’s investment strategy and track record to key stakeholders.
Adapt investment strategies based on emerging technological trends, macroeconomic conditions, and market opportunities.
Cultivate and manage relationships within a global network including founders, co-investors, limited partners, and strategic stakeholders to enhance alignment with our investment thesis.
Key Requirements
Extensive experience in venture capital with a strong focus on direct investments in India and South Asia, particularly within the climate sector.
Demonstrated success in sourcing, managing, and closing deals at the seed to Series A/B stages, with a solid history of driving value creation.
Deep industry knowledge in climate-related sectors such as renewable energy, sustainability, or environmental technologies.
A robust, established network within the venture capital industry, with strong connections to early-stage founders, management teams, and strategic stakeholders in emerging markets.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively across diverse cultural contexts.
Strong commitment to sustainability and ethical investment practices, in line with the organization’s core values and mission.
