Remote Support Job Senior Corporate Strategist in USA

As a Senior Corporate Strategist on our Corporate Strategy team, you will further develop innovative diagnostic and information technology solutions for veterinarians, ranchers and pet owners. They execute on strategy serving over 10,000 people in over 170 countries, supporting and driving key decisions through individual strategic projects and analysis.

Location: You must live within a reasonable driving distance of Westbrook, Maine. This is a hybrid position and you will be expected to be based at the Westbrook headquarters 2-3 days per week.

What you will do:

As a key member of the Corporate Strategy team, you will help drive the company’s strategic planning process and drive corporate strategy efforts, including driving individual strategic projects and global and regional market analyses.

By leveraging unique datasets, you will model and translate this data into critical business insights that form the basis of critical decisions across the organization. You will also work as part of a cross-functional team to generate insights that shape IDEXX’s overall strategy.

Strategic Projects and Initiatives: You will address and solve unclear problems for our company, our customers and the markets in which we operate (and how to win), especially in technology markets and adjacent emerging markets.

End-to-end Project Management: You will execute high-priority strategic projects such as adjacent market assessments and cross-functional initiatives to drive business growth. End-to-end responsibilities include structuring complex business problems, analyzing and synthesizing relevant data, project planning, project design, project management, execution and delivering recommendations.

Market Analysis: You will maintain and update core annual market analyses as well as design and execute creative individual market analyses. This includes analysis of customers, competitors, suppliers, distributors, technologies, and potential industry entrants to support the ad-hoc development of business areas and corporate strategies.

Data Analysis and Financial Skills: Develop rigorous statistical analysis and financial models to estimate market size opportunities (adjacent regions, expansion, etc.).

Strategic Planning Process: Collaboratively lead the company’s strategic planning process and execution. Work with the team to storyboard and analyze strategic plans as needed. Cross-functional collaboration: Engage, influence and build strong relationships with executives across business units and regions (Europe, Asia Pacific) to answer the organization’s most important strategic questions. Additionally, you will work with the Investor Relations team on content development for investor communications and presentations.

Team Leadership and Development: Mentor junior members of the Corporate Strategy team by fostering a culture of continuous learning, growth mindset, collaboration and innovation.

Your Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or related field. MBA or higher degree preferred.
Professional
experience in a consulting firm preferred. Direct experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, management consulting, or related role (retail or consumer products industry preferred).

Proven track record:

Lead strategic projects and initiatives with a deep understanding of strategic planning methodologies and frameworks.
Extract
complex data to generate actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Excellent
communication, facilitation and persuasion skills with the ability to effectively present findings and recommendations to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
Critical
thinking, forecasting market trends and identifying opportunities for business growth and differentiation. Adapt quickly to changing resource requirements, optimally utilize available resources, and utilize resources creatively.

Prioritize workload and manage multiple deliverables

Work with business leaders and apply a long-term perspective to strategic positioning of the IDEXX company

Excellent financial modeling skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
