Job Summary
The Senior Data Scientist role is responsible for the development and execution of data science and analytics use cases at AGCO. The Senior Data Scientist executes the research, modeling design, implementation, and supports the deployment of full-stack scalable data analytics vision and machine learning solutions to critical business opportunities. This role understands the business requirements and develops analytics solutions to support key KPIs and overall goal achievement. The Senior Data Scientist guides and supports the activities of the junior data scientists and provides advanced expertise on statistical and mathematical concepts for the broader Data and Analytics community within AGCO. This role also applies and inspires the adoption of advanced data science and analytics across the business. ( This position can be remote )

- Work with senior management and key business stake holders in identifying and prioritizing actionable, impactful insights across a variety of core business fronts, driving informed decision-making across the business.
- Determine appropriate analytics technique for addressing classes of business problems. Assesses feasibility of analytics use cases in POC studies. Sr. Data Scientist (Remote)
- Uses statistical analysis and techniques including regression, cluster analysis, text analysis, neural networks, data mining etc. to develop advanced analytics models for diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive use cases.
- Builds analytics solutions that drive the business closer to its overall goals and objectives while guaranteeing statistical integrity and implementing accuracy tracking and analytics lifecycle management techniques. Sr. Data Scientist (Remote)
- Works with cloud & data engineers to deploy & integrate analytics based solutions using scalable, performant and cost efficient machine learning pipelines.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to junior data scientists and data analysts.
- Maps analytical insights into actionable recommendations and identify and communicate the ‘so what’ in the results generated. Leverage business knowledge, storytelling and expertise to enable greater adoption with end users.
- Acts as a change agent, engaging with business stakeholders and others in the data science community at AGCO to continue to educate, increase awareness, and build support for world class data and analytics.
- Stays up to date on leading data science and analytic practices, trends, design, learning and development cycles. Sr. Data Scientist (Remote)
Minimum Qualifications Required
- Master’s Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or a related field or a Bachelor’s degree plus additional 2 years of experience required. Sr. Data Scientist (Remote)
- 6+ years of related work experience
- Advanced analytics tools (Python, R, SAS, SQL etc.) to carry out statistical and machine learning analysis
- Use big data computing frameworks for processing of large data volumes (AWS Glue, EMR and Sagemaker)
- Ability to create repeatable, automated processes & data pipelines
Familiar with cloud technologies for model development and deployment
