The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Automation System Control Technician / Systems Tech, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leading preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment such as, but not limited to: AC/DC drives and motors, programmable logic controllers, robotics, process controllers, stepper & servo motors, fire protection equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic devices, and plant support equipment. Systems Control Technician (FT)
- Implementing automated system upgrades and improvements
- Determining best practices that comply with all corporate, plant and department safety rules for systems control
- Supporting engineering, production, and maintenance of production, converting, assembly and packaging equipment; troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, installation, and start-up of new equipment.
- Creating an environment that supports all department in the attainment of customer satisfaction. Systems Control Technician (FT)
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
- Possess, an associate degree in a maintenance field in Electro-Mechanics, Mechatronics Technology, Automation Controls/SCADA or Robotics (completed and verified prior to start)
- Three (3) years of technical experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
- Position requires work, on overtime, weekends and holidays as needed. Systems Control Technician (FT)
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics or Robotics and Automation, or Engineering Technology
- Experience with reliability analysis, predictive (PdM), and preventative maintenance (PM)
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
- Possess excellent documentation skills
- Excellent technical communication skills, both written and oral to a diverse audience.
Starting salary for maintenance roles at this location is $37.09 /hour.
- $1,000.00 Referral and Retention bonus for new hires and referring 3M employees. Must meet eligibility criteria. Systems Control Technician (FT)
