ConocoPhillips is a leading oil and gas company, based in Houston, TX, and is hiring Site Support for contract positions. The site support provides resolution to all desktop support requests.

Configures, troubleshoots, isolates, repairs, and resolves all customer desktop issues including desktop/laptop hardware and software, mobile devices, printer, scanners, copiers, hardware peripherals and other desktop related equipment. Troubleshoots and repair desktop computers to ensure they interconnect seamlessly with multiple systems including network drives and all business productivity applications.

Communicates directly with customers via phone, e-mail and remote diagnostics to identify, reproduce and resolve customer reported issues. Works independently to troubleshoot all support requests and follow escalation policies. Participates in testing, documentation and implementation of assigned projects. Responsible for tracking hardware inventory per division policies along with running and terminating infrastructure cabling between workstations and communication closets.

Key Accountabilities

Perform installation, troubleshooting and repair of computing, phone, meeting room and network devices for on-site support to end users
Perform troubleshooting and repair of data & voice network cable systems
Maintain IT Hardware asset/inventory tracking in accordance with team processes & procedures
Lead small local projects and participate in global IT and Telecommunications initiatives
Partner with Global Service Desk and central support groups such as Global Telecom and Printer support teams to provide seamless support to end user community

Provide training and consultation to end users
Provide expertise in the selection of standard hardware and software solutions to maximize efficiency and meet customer needs
Effectively communicate and assist customers in an audience appropriate manner
Partner with other non-IT service groups on small to medium structured cabling projects
Partner with other service groups within ConocoPhillips IT Operations in providing seamless service delivery

Required and Preferred Skills and Experience

5+ years of direct experience in troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
5+ years of direct experience in IT or Telecommunications support role
5+ years of direct experience in installing and supporting meeting room audio-visual technologies
5+ years of direct experience installing and supporting personal printers, MFDs, and plotters
Direct experience supporting and troubleshooting Office 365 and OneDrive for Business
Willing and able to lift 30 lbs.(with or without a reasonable accommodation)
