📡 Role: Senior Media Streaming Engineer – Media Delivery Live

Are you passionate about video encoding systems and live streaming workflows? Join Disney’s Media Delivery Live Team, which is responsible for the end-to-end streaming pipeline—content ingestion, encoding, packaging, and delivery. You’ll work in a responsive team environment to ensure high-quality live and on-demand experiences across platforms, managing incidents, monitoring system health, and enabling efficient workflows.

🔧 Key Responsibilities


📚 Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in video streaming or broadcast environments

  • Proficient in video codecs (H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC) and audio formats (AAC, PCM, AC‑3, EAC‑3)

  • Hands-on experience with ABR/OTT technologies (HLS, DASH) and MPEG Transport Streams

  • Comfortable across Mac, Linux, Windows command lines

  • Skilled communication and independent problem-solving

  • Scripting expertise: Bash, Python, Ruby

  • Familiar with automation frameworks: Ansible, Puppet, AWX

  • REST APIs via cURL, Postman, or scripting libraries

  • Experience writing clear technical documentation

  • Familiarity with DAI workflows, TS/ES analyzers, FFMPEG, MP4Box, TSDuck, and network transport protocols

  • Familiar with ANSI/SCTE 35—preferred
