Business Development Manager API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient Business).
IMCD US currently has an opening for a Business Development Manager in our Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) business.
The role of Sales Manager API will be a remote position supporting the whole United States territory. The sales manager API is the eyes and ears of API Management in the country. Providing analysis of market trends, customer request and competition.

Successful candidates will be responsible to:
Drive the growth of the APIs Business in the US
Visit customers within the territory together with Sales Representatives, fostering and developing with key accounts
Responsible for increasing the pipeline of API Opportunities offering the necessary support to the SRs to provide specialized advice to clients
Management of the API’s in the Key Accounts
Support the Pharmaceutical team in the presentation of API’s offering to any client.
Definition of standard formats to be used, support in their preparation, including price recommendations or definition of margin policies, which allows us to generate winning and sustainable offers
Review of said offers together with the SR and follow-up of the opportunities generated, dedicating the necessary support to convert them into sales
Supports the Business Unit Manager in the establishment of objectives, business strategies and priority setting, which will later be implemented by the entire Pharma organization
Maintain and promote relationships with the main suppliers in the territory
Attend fairs, conferences, and any other event of interest for business development in coordination with BG Pharma
Lead local projects related to API’s
Skills:
Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market
Strong analytical, organizational and strategic skills required
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Experience in successfully in developing cohesive relationships and producing strong business results
Proven at developing and executing an effective strategy to drive significant growth
Strong business acumen, decision quality and complex problem-solving skills
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related field
10+ years in API’s business
Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise directed. Additional hours may be required as needed.
Travel
40% travel is expected for this position
