Work from home Entry Level Electrical Engineer – Xbox Hardware Team Job ID- 2234

Microsoft’s Xbox Hardware team is comprised of a diverse group of creative professionals who design, test, and manufacture some of the best-loved gaming and entertainment devices in the world. The Xbox console hardware team is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to take ownership of schematic design for key Xbox products.

 

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with engineers across various electrical subsystems such as memory, power, high-speed IO, low-speed IO, RF, SOCs, and mechanical design. This individual will gather design requirements, understand subsystem architectures, and integrate everything into a cohesive schematic design for next-gen products. Core electrical engineering design principles, circuit design, datasheet analysis, timing analysis, power, performance, and circuit debugging are essential for success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD (81,900 – )160,200 per year. For specific locations, such as the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is USD (105,600 – )174,600 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation.

Skills

Strong understanding of circuit design and electrical engineering principles

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end development of electrical schematics for flagship Xbox products
Implement innovative solutions to electrical design challenges with guidance from senior engineers
Analyze and interpret electrical test results to identify design flaws
Develop design documentation, including drawings and specifications
Select appropriate test equipment for measuring and testing circuits
Write verification test cases and develop test plans for Xbox features
Document materials and components following established release processes
Communicate project progress and escalate issues as needed

 

Qualifications

4+ years of technical engineering experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
Experience with consumer electronics products and developing test plans
Demonstrated ability to contribute to electrical features or products

 

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
A Master’s degree is preferred but not required
